SOBA Winter Ales is selling fast

The ever-popular SOBA Winter Ales Festival tickets went on sale on Tuesday and are selling very fast. As of today Thursday tickets are limited to SOBA members and are available through SOBA’s website. Members have been emailed a password giving access to ticket sales. Go there right now or you’ll miss out.

 

Moa's New Zealand sales increase 53% last year

Moa Group Ltd.’s provisional annual results were released this morning. They show an annual production of 2.5ML, an increase of 43% on the previous year. Revenue increased 35% to $8.2 million, while annual losses are $2.9 million, compared to -$5.5 million in the previous year.

Chief executive Geoff Ross says Moa is now the third largest craft brewer in New Zealand, behind Lion’s Macs and DB’s Monteiths, and ahead of Boundary Road. “Of the top five craft brands in New Zealand, Moa is also the fastest growing with 53.0 per cent growth compared to a category growth rate of 20.8 per cent”. Fresh Hop Home Brew competition winners

Congratulations to James Ivey (Wellington) and Oliver Drake (Christchurch) – first and second respectively in the New Zealand Fresh Hop Home Brew Competition. James takes home a new Grainfather, and Oliver gets a Grainfather kegerator (and lots of new mates).
