New releases

Valkyrie/Beltane Archibald the Kraken New Zealand Pilsner (4.8%) - chock-full of New Zealand malts and New Zealand hops, and seasoned with Himalayan Pink Salt and Mixed Spicy Peppercorns.  It’s intention is not to overpower with salt and pepper, they are used as flavour enhancers, effectively making the beer like a pilsner on steroids. The Kraken is unfilitered so has a nice hazy appearance, and brewed by Wendy Roigard (Valkyrie Brewing) and Vicki Purple (Beltane Brewing) as a one-off at the Twisted Hop brewery in Christchurch.  Only 800 litres were brewed so it won’t be around for long. Look for the Kraken at craft beer venues around the South Island.
