Tuatara Vastafarian Green Hopped IPA (5.6%) - Taste: An explosion of passionfruit, gooseberry and grapefruit that only the freshest Nelson Riwaka and Sauvin hops can provide. Aroma: Grapefruit, gooseberry and citrus notes. Look: Golden Pale Ale. Hops: Riwaka and Sauvin. Malt: American Pale and Light Crystal. Bitterness (IBU): 45. Try With: Spit roasted pork.
Fork Brewing Kapow! Belgian Saison (5.3%) - Flavour: Lean and light in the mouth with some peppery spice and saponic lemon notes. A faint, background note of green cardamom and a lingering chilli kick. Light bodied, with a subtle, tart finish. Aroma: Citrus dominant, with the lemongrass component of the tea shining through. Hints of ginger and galangal followed by the summery delights of ripe Kawakawa fruit. Look: Hazy, pale yellow (unfiltered and unfined). Hops: NZ Chinook. Malt: Lager Light, Wheat, Gladiator. Epic Rocket IPA (6.5%) - The second release in the IPA Hysteria series, following Gods of War, we continue to perform Rocket surgery on the near perfect Armageddon IPA recipe. Curiosity leads us into a world of experimentation, this time smashing Columbus and Centennial into a space only the Large Hadron Collider could have the energy to male possible. Te Aro Concord East Coast IPA (6.5%) - Juicy on the nose with aromas of freshly squeezed orange juice, mandarin and melon. The palate has fruit flavours, slight savoury green character and finishes with strong bitterness.
News - Beer community rallies for fundraiser
Christchurch brewer Jason Wareing, one half of Fiasco Brewing, was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal cancer earlier this year. The Christchurch craft brewing community is coming together this Saturday for Jasefest – a one-off festival to raise funds to assist Jase and wife Jodi to fulfil his bucket list over the next few months. Jasefest starts at 1pm this Saturday with a beer festival featuring donated beers and ciders from more than 20 breweries, followed by the after-party from 8pm, with leading Christchurch DJs. All money raised will be going straight to Jase and Jodi so they can spend time together enjoying the things that they love.

This Tuesday we are tapping their Red Bonnet 'Original'. First brewed and bottled for their one year anniversary in 2015, this flander's red ale is a favourite amongst the NZ beer community. Lee-Ann and Michael blend young beer with 1yr barrel-aged beer then age it another 6 months in a Waitaki Pinot Noir barrel.
