Beer news site finds the stories Beertown missed

By BeertownNZ Wed, 10 May 2017 National

I hate to admit it, but Beertown got scooped.

The usually-savvy Beertown investigative team missed the big story on GABS expansion to Afghanistan: “'With some thoughtful ground work I’m sure once the locals see The Great Afghanistani Beer Spectapular in big letters over a mosque they will come flocking and getting a ferris wheel in there will be the clincher' says Jefferes (sic).”

The story was broken by new beer news website Too Much To Beer, bringing an overdue 'alternative facts' approach to our favourite journalistic field.

Too Much To Beer launched quietly this week, with scoops - damnit - on both GABS and Garage Project. With two stories in just two days, it's on a roll. But can it keep up the alternative facting week-in, week-out for a couple of years? Let's find out.

Too Much To Beer - the stories behind the stories

Declaration of interest: No, it's not me - I publish my own alternative facts right here on Beertown. No, I don't know. Whois doesn't tell me much either. Fair play to youse.
