Assistant Brewer, Sawmill Brewery, Rodney Auckland

The successful applicant will be trained in all facets of beer production by one of the country’s top brewing teams. They will be safely operating all brewing and packaging machinery with cellar-work and CIP of machinery and equipment. Regular monitoring and testing of the product and ensuring it remains within our specifications and standard operating procedures. A tertiary qualification in Brewing, Food Science, Winemaking or related discipline and experience within a food/beverage manufacturing environment would be regarded highly but the right candidate can be nurtured without having completed these.

Head Brewer, Renaissance Brewing, Blenheim

There is an administrative aspect to this role and part of the time you will spend designing new brews.  You will need to have the relevant brewing and technical experience as well as having sound planning and organising skills. Staff will be relying on you for technical guidance. We are happy to offer this position as a contract in the first instance but if you're genuinely interested and have the skills and qualities we are looking for then a full-time position will be considered. Cellar Hand, McCashins Brewery, Nelson

No experience necessary, as we will teach you the ropes, but the ideal candidate needs a positive can do attitude and an excellent work ethic (i.e. show up to work on time, every day rostered and be ready to work). If you do not already have experience, you will be required to acquire training and experience to a level where you are capable of covering various tasks involved with Brewery cellar work. You will learn how to clean (brewing beer is about sanitation), filter and transfer beer, bottle and keg beer and of course brewing beer once you have worked you way through the processes and there is a space in the brewing team.

Keg Line Operator, Blending & Brewery Technician, Steam Brewing, Auckland

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate high attention to details and quality.  They will need to have a strong work ethic, be able to work unsupervised and in a team environment.  Brewery experience is not required but would be an advantage.  As this is an entry level position all training will be given on the job.

Cellar and Packaging Operator, Moa, Blenheim

Being part of a small brewing operation the successful candidate will be required to perform a multitude of cellar tasks, complete basic laboratory analysis and assist with bottling line operations. This is a very hands-on role as you will be involved in all general cellar operations from transfers, tank cleaning and sanitising, through to filtering and priming/carbonation of bright beer for packaging. Duties will also include Kegging and supervision and training on the bottling line, machinery operation and barrel work. Cellar experience is considered essential and the successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years experience and be familiar with Cellar processes and procedures. Ideally the candidate will also have experience operating Beverage Packaging equipment
